How can the direction of force on a current -carrying conductor ,kept in a magnetic field ,be changed ?

A current carrying conductor has a magnetic field associated with it.The two magnetic fields, one due to the magnet and the other due to the current in the conductor, interact. This produces a force on the conductor.
The direction of the magnetic force depends on
(a) the strength of electric current, and
b) the strength of the magnetic field.
