What is PIN Code ? State its importance ?

Pin code stands for Postal Index Number Code. In India every state, every city and town in the state has been given an index number.

    Importance of PIN Code

       (i)  Letters and other articles reach the destination conveniently and without delay.

       (ii) It facilitates the postal staff to sort out postal articles easily, direction wise.
