How were ideas and information written before the age of print in India ? How did the printing technique begin in India ?
These were written on palm leaves or on handmade paper. Wooden covers were sewn with such books. Portuguese missionaries came first in the 16th century. They learn Konkani language and printed their teachings. Tamil Book was printed in 1579 at Cochin by Catholics.
