applications of combination reaction

Combination reactions are very much applicable in chemical industry .The main applications are given below .
(i)  In chemical industry ,the very imporatant reaction of hydrogen gas and chlorine gas is  applied in making hydrochloric acid .
        H2 +  Cl2 ________  2HCl 
 (ii)The rusting of iron can also be categorised as combination reaction .It is avery complicatwed reaction of iron, oxygen and water forming iron rust .

 (iii)  Burning of coal    :     C   +O2   _______    CO2    

  (iv)  Discharging of a battery is usually a combination reaction.
         Example   :  oxy hydrogen fuel cell .
         2H2   +  O2   ________  2H2O
