Do you agree with the statement that the 19th century Europe saw progress greatly in mass literacy of women of the continent ? How did the same progress was realise among working class of Europe ?

Yes, I believe 19th century Europe saw leaps in mass literacy of women. Women became important as readers as well as writers Penny magazines and manuals were especially composed on topics like, teaching proper behavior and housekeeping. Some women novelists of that period were __ Jane austen, George Eliot and sisters of Bronte, the renowned novelist and playwright. Their presence ipso - facto substantiates mass literacy of women during 19th century.

The 19th century Europe also saw a great increase in mass literacy of working class in Europe. It was because of development in print technology that could print comics, picket -books,chit -bits,fables,tales and riddles so large scale.
