"The print culture created the conditions within which the French revolution occurred". Support the statement giving three arguments ?

Gandhi said fight for Swaraj is a fight for liberty of speech, liberty of the press and freedom of association because the government tried to curb all these powerful vehicles of expressing and cultivating public opinion.

(i) The British colonial rule tried to control all criticism of British misrule and throttle the national movement by clamping on the Indian Press [Vernacular Press Act of 1978 and Defence of India Act].

(ii) Thus Gandhi held the fight for swaraj, self- rule and freedom was above all for liberty of speech, liberty of the pres and freedom of association for these are the fundamental rights of every human being and a nation.

(iii) The Indian constitution grants to all its citizens freedom of speech, association and liberty of press as fundamental right under Right to Expression.
