applications of oxidation reaction
Oxidation reactions have a lot of applications in chemical industry .The main applications are given below .
 (i) The role of chemical oxidation in the control of industrial waste waters is very important .
 (ii) Oxidation reactions are applicable in textile industry ,leather tanning industry ,metal finishing industry ,pulp and paper industry,pesticide industry ,gold production and cleaning products etc .
(iii)Oxidation reactions are also applicable  in the production of ammonia which is used in most fertilizers .
Redox reaction is a oxidation reduction reaction .
Redox reactions are the foundation of electrochemical cells .
The process of electroplating uses redox reactions to coat objects as in silver plating ,gold plating etc .
