Compost is simply decayed remains of organic waste materials. The wastes from the kitchen can be converted into compost by putting them in a dugout and covering it with a layer of soil. It will be converted into compost manure within one month. Some other techniques can also
be used. Pipe compost is a method in which the waste is put in a pipe placed vertically on soil and keeping it idle for some days. The top should be covered to avoid bad smell.
