short note on maratha decline

Following are the cause of the decline of Marathas :
(i) Absence of strong administrative authority.
(ii) Mutual conflict between the Maratha sardars which suffered from disunity and strife.
(iii) Trade and technology was neglected.
(iv) Defeat in 3rd battle of Panipat was a major blow for their decline.
(v) Economy system of Maratha was inefficient.
(vi) Marathas expanded their territories without administering these areas well and consolidating their power.
