HOW CAN WE WRITE SUBSHELL ELECTRONIC CONFIGURATION?

First of all we should know the increasing order of energy. ie 1s2s2p3s3p4s3d.........

Also we must know that s-sub shell can have 2 electrons, p-sub shell can have only 6 e-, d-sub shell has 10e- etc.
Then we can write electronic configuration of an element. e/g:

Lithium, atomic no.=3
1s2,2s1

similarly Neon, atomic no.=10
1s2,2s2,2p6
