Early humans used huge hard rough stones to attack wild animals. This period is called old stone age. Gradually he began to use small and polished sharp tools. This period is called middle stone age .The next stage was most important .The important innovations like grinding stones, mortars, pestles for processing cereals, and stone made ornaments were made in this period.
