What is polar wind?
Polar wind  is the permanent outflow of ionized gas (plasma) from the polar regions of the magnetosphere,caused by the interaction between the solar wind and the Earth's atmosphere.It is an ambipolar outflow of thermal plasma from the terrestrial ionosphere at high latitudes to the magnetosphere along geomagnetic field lines.
