who invented magnet
 Magnets is neither an invention nor a discovery.
Magnetite is an ore of iron (probably was in use during Iron Age) and no one knows who actually discovered it.

Magnes (who was a shepherd) however, use a magnetite ore and discovered the phenomenon of magnetism and created the world's first magnet (or loadstone).
