Neurons form a network all over the body controlled by the brain. The main parts of a neuron are cell body, dendrons and axon. Impulse enters a neuron through the tip of dendrons called dendrites. Through the dendron, impulse reaches the cell body. From there, it is transmitted to the axon which is a long part. At the end of the axon, there are pre-synaptic knobs or nerve ends. When the impulse reaches the nerve end, a chemo transmitter called acetylcholine is secreted. It stimulates the dendrites of the adjacent neuron which is not in direct contact. Thus the impulse gets passed to the next neuron. This process continues till the impulse reaches its destination.
