Visible light cannot eject photo electrons from copper surface,Whose work function is 4.4eV why? prove it mathematically?

Therefore, threshold wavelength for copper surface,

Since wavelengh of visible light ( 3,800 Å to 7,800 Å) is greater than threshold wavelength for copper surface, it cannot eject electrons from copper.
