WE PREFER MERCURY IN BAROMETER BECAUSE OF ITS
Mercury is used in barometers due to the following reasons :
(i) It does not stick to the walls of the barometer tube.
(ii) Its density is high,so the length of the tube used is conveniently small.
(iii)Its vapor pressure is quite small.
