An element forms base centered unit cell structure with an edge length of 360 pm. The density of the element is 8.96g/cm^2.Calculate the no:of unit cells and the no:of atoms present in 127g of the element?

Edge length of unit cell(a)=360pm
                                          =360x10-10cm
Volume of the unit cell (a3)=(360x10-10cm)3

   =46.656x10-24cm3
Density of the element        =8.96g/cm3
Mass of the unit cell = volume x density
                                  =46.656 x  10-24x 8.96
                                  =418.037x10-24 g
Each unit cell contains 2 atoms.
.:The no: of unit cells in 127g of the element                                                         = 127/418.037x10-24
                                    =0.3038 x  10 24x 2
                                    =0.6076 x 1024
