WHO IS SISTER NIVEDITHA?

Sister Nivedita ( born Margaret Elizabeth Noble; 1867–1911) was a Scots-Irish social worker, author, teacher and a disciple of Swami Vivekananda.Her early name is Margaret Elizabeth Noble and she born in 28 October 1867 in County Tyrone, Ireland.Swami Vivekananda gave her the name Nivedita (meaning "Dedicated to God").In the year 1898, Sister Nivedita established a school for girls, who were deprived of even basic education. Her aim was to bring about an improvement in the lives of Indian women belonging to various social classes and castes.She was a motivating force for people in all walks of life.Finally, this great soul left for her heavenly abode on October 13, 1911.
