DEFINE PRINCIPAL FOCI OF A CONVEX LENS.

When light rays pass through a convex lens parallel to its principal axis, the light rays are bent toward the principal axis. When 2 or more light rays pass through a convex lens parallel to its principal axis, the light rays are intersect at a point on the principal axis.

So, the principal focus of a convex lens is the point where light rays that are parallel to the principal axis intersect.
