WHAT IS METALLOIDS?

A metalloid is a chemical element with properties that are in between or a mixture of those of metals and nonmetals.Metalloids are considered to be difficult to classify as either a metal or a non-metal.Metalloids have properties of both metals and non-metals. Some of the metalloids, such as silicon and germanium, are semi-conductors. This means that they can carry an electrical charge under special conditions. This property makes metalloids useful in computers and calculators.
