A car travels a distance of 15 kms towards east, 20 kms towards south and then 45 kms towards east. Find the displacement of the car

Displacement is the difference between the initial path and final position by a moving object.
                        
The total displacement is the difference between the points A and B.
By Pythagoras theorem
 AB = sqrt(602 +202 )
       = 63.24km/s
