How evaporation cause cooling?
When evaporation occurs the molecules of the liquid turns to vapour state and escape from the surface .Heat energy is required for the molecule to leave the liquid surface and escape as vapour .It takes heat from the surface from which it is evaporated .The molecule is taking heat with it as its leaving and so this makes a cooling effect on the surface .
