How do we multiply the numbers with points included in it?

To multiply 2.32 x 1.2 ,
                   First calculate 232 x 12 = 2784
There are 2 decimal places in 2.32 and 1 decimal place in 1.2.
So there are 2 + 1 = 3 decimal places in total.
Hence put a decimal point 3 digit from the left.
So 2.32 x 1.2 = 2.784
