WHAT IS TRACHEA?

Ans : 
 Trachea is a an airway through which respiratory air transport takes place in organisms. also called  the windpipe. It is a bony tube that connects the nose to the mouth and then to the lungs. It is located in the front of the neck.In humans it is made up of rings of cartilage roughly 4 inches long and 1 inch in diameter.
 It is an important part of the respiratory system because, when a person breathes in, air flows into the lungs through the windpipe. The primary function of the trachea is letting of the air flow into the lungs. Any damage to the trachea which causes its collapse or blockage interferes in normal exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide , if not treated urgently leads to death.Any damage to it is potentially life-threatening because of its very much importance in respiration.
