In Indias different states food and dress

The language, religion  food and dresses of the people change according to the region they inhabit.

DRESS

In northern part of India Salwar Kameez accompanied by Dupatta is prevalent among women.

In  Rajasthan and Gujarat, Lehenga Choli with Odhni forms core of the traditional dress .
Sari is common in most part of India. Depending upon the needs and cultural and religious norms of the region, each region has its own style of draping a sari. The style of wearing a sari reflects the age, region, religion, status and occupation of the women to some extent.

Dhoti and Kurta is supposed to be the native Indian dress for men. In Southern India, men mostly wear Shirt and Lungi, a type of dhoti worn differently.

Food
The staple diet of the North Indian regions is roti, rice, vegetables, curry, lentils, and curd.
 Chapati is staple food of  Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
Rice is the staple meal in various states of Eastern India like West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Orissa, and Tripura and so on.
Some popular south Indian foods are Rice, dosas, idli, vada, bonda, pongal, rice bath, pulao, Thengai Sadham and so on.
