1. Sound waves require a medium. Light waves don't.
2. Light waves in a vacuum go the fastest speed in the universe, tied with gravity. Because it goes through a medium, sound goes much slower.
3. We can see images using light because visible light waves are so small. Sound waves are much larger so we couldn't focus sound into an image the same way.
4. There's pretty much no maximum frequency of light. Since it goes through a medium, there is a maximum frequency of sound.
