1) Colonialism: Colonialism is the establishment, maintenance, acquisition and expansion of colonies in one territory by people from another territory.

  2) Socialism : Socialism  can be defined as a centrally planned economy in which all the production are owned and controlled by the state.

 3)Imperialism: imperialism is  the policy of extending the rule or authority of an empire or nation over foreign countries as a means of acquisition and maintenance of empires, either through direct territorial conquest or through indirect methods of exerting control on the politics and economy of other countries

4) Nationalism: Nationalism is a political ideology that involves a strong identification of a group of individuals with a nation. 

 5)Industrial revolution : Social and economic changes that mark the transition from a stable agricultural and commercial society to a modern industrial society relying on complex machinery rather than tools is called Industrial revolution. Industrial revolution that took place during the late 1700s and early 1800s.

 6)Karl Marx & Frederic angels : Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels were the founders of modern socialism and communism and also the authors  of the ‘Communist Manifesto’

7)Political scenario of India after the death of the Mughal emperor Aurangazeb: The unity and stability of the Mughal Empire had been shaken up during the reign of Aurengzeb. It began to disintegrate rapidly after his death. All the Mughals who succeeded him on the throne of Delhi evere very weak and inefficient. They didn’t have ability or will power to control such a vast empire. The Mughal governors took the advantage of this situation and broke all the connections with the centre and became independent. More over, the economic stability of the empire was decined because of the constant wars. At the same time there was invasion of Nadir Shah and Ahmad Shah Abdali which proved fatal for the Mughatl Empire and completely shattered the economy. Thus the central Government became weak and its authority declined.
