what is distributive oroperty
The distributive property is given by:
a(b + c) = ab + ac, for any given elements a,b and c

For example:

    let a=2, b=1 & c=3

    a(b+c) = 2×(1+3) = 2×4 = 8

    ab+ac = 2×1+2×3 = 2+6 = 8

i.e., 2 × (1 + 3) = (2 × 1) + (2 × 3)
