what are the benefits of using manure

Manure improves soil structure and adds nutrients. It also holds moisture and improves micro-organism activity. Along with other aged organic matter, such as homemade compost or mushroom compost, manure makes both clay and sandy soils fertile. It can be added to new gardens, dug in before planting or applied regularly as and when needed.

Importantly, manure is a waste product so putting it into the garden is a good way of recycling.
