HOW ARE FATERNAL TWINS DIFFERNET FROM IDENTICAL TWINS OTHER THAN APPEARANCE? HOW ARE TWINS FORMED?

 Fraternal twins are siblings who are conceived at the same time of two separate fertilized eggs. They are also sometimes called "biovular twins" or "non-identical twins. Fraternal twins can look quite dissimilar. Fraternal twins, result when a woman has two ova or eggs fertilized by two separate sperm.

 In identical twins, the fertilized ovum undergoes mitosis to form two zygotes which then develops into two separate embryos. The two zygotes develop into two foetuses and share the same placenta.
