What is the defintion for the word density?

Density is defined as the amount of substance in unit volume of a material.It can also be  defined as the mass per unit volume. Density of a material can represent as p(rho) or simply as 'd'.

                           where ? is the density, m is the mass, and V is the volume
Different materials usually have different densities. The density of a material varies with temperature and pressure. Density is an intensive property in that increasing the amount of a substance does not increase its density; rather it increases its mass.
