what are the major events of photosynthesis?

There are two major events of photosynthesis: the light and dark stage or reactions. The light stage involves light absorption and energy transfer. They do this by either cyclic or non-cyclic pathway. The pathway differs on its end product but ATP is produced by both pathways. The dark stage is known as the Calvin Cycle. This cycle uses the products produced by the light stage.
