mam, can you explain the whole process of digestion including the function of all glands take part in this process?

Digestion is a biochemical reaction in which complex food is broken down to simple and absorbable  form. The glands taking part in digestion are salivary glands, gastric glands, liver, pancreas and intestinal glands.Saliva  has the enzyme salivary amylase or ptyalin which breaks starch into simple sugars. Mucus in saliva is a lubricating fluid.Gastric juice has the enzyme pepsin which breaks proteins into simpler molecules.Hydrochloric acid in the gastric juice creates an acidic medium for pepsin to act and also kills the germs. Liver produces bile which emulsifies fats. Pancreatic juice contain trypsin which digests proteins, pancreatic lipase which digests lipids and pancreatic amylase which digests lipids.Intestinal juice contain many enzymes which can digests all nutrients.
