the formula of bezene is c6h6 but as both have same valency should it be ch.please explain it in a simple way.

Benzene is an example of covalent compound.It is made by the mutual sharing of six Hydrogen atoms with each of the six carbon atom with alternate double bonds.If we reprsents Benzene as CH only there is a confusion of the number of composition of molecules.So we can represents Benzene as C6H6 only.The structure of Benzene is given below,
