WHAT IS HYDRA?

Hydra  is a fresh water  organism which  belongs to a group  known as Cnidarians or sometimes called coelenterates. It reproduces asexually by budding. The common characteristic to all of these animals is that they have stinging cells located, known as cnidocytes, on their tentacles. (Jelly fish)  They  are multicellular and  heterotrophic .
