shaving mirror is a convex mirror/ concave mirror
For concave mirrors,when the object is nearer(i.e. between focal point and mirror),the image is upright and magnified. For shaving,mirror is generally held near the face.So the face comes between the focal point and the mirror due to which magnified image is formed which is helpful while shaving.That is why shaving mirrors are concave in nature.
