WHAT IS CONDUCTION?

Conduction can be divided into two:heat conduction and electrical conduction.Heat conduction is the flow of internal energy from a region of higher temperature to one of lower temperature by the interaction of the adjacent particles (atoms, molecules, ions, electrons, etc.) in the intervening space.Electrical conduction is the movement of electrically charged particles through a transmission medium. The movement can form an electric current in response to an electric field. The underlying mechanism for this movement depends on the material.Metals are good conductors of heat and electricity whereas vacuum behaves as an insulator because of the absence of charged particles.
