What is the definition for 'speed' and 'average speed'? |
Speed is a scalar quantity refers to how fast an object is moving. It is the rate at which an object covers distance. A fast-moving object covers a relatively large distance in a short amount of time. Slow-moving object that has a low speed and it covers a relatively small amount of distance in the same amount of time. The average speed of an object refers to an interval of time ie, the distance travelled by the object divided by the duration of the interval. |
