The Second World War was between the Allies and the Axis powers.

The Allies Powers were the Britain, France, The Soviet Union and the US.

The Axis Powers were the Nazi Germany, Japan and Italy.

The Second World War was waged for 6 years on many fronts, in many places, over land, on sea, and in the air. At least 60 million people are believed to have been killed, directly or indirectly as a result of the Second World War.
