WHAT IS ANNEXED MEAN

To Annex means:
To attach or add, especially to a larger or more significant thing.
To incorporate (territory) into an existing country, state, county, or city.

Eg: After annexing Seleucus' eastern Persian provinces, Chandragupta had a vast empire extending across the northern parts of Indian Sub-continent, from the Bay of Bengal to the Arabian Sea.

Here annexing means Chandragupta added Seleucus' eastern Persian provinces to the Mauryan Empire.
