Define agriculture?
Agriculture is the art and science of cultivating the soil and raising crops and animal stock.Agriculture helped early man to lead a settled life. It is one of the most important occupations of human beings in the world. The basis for the growth and development of ancient civilizations in the river valleys was agriculture.Agriculture is one of the most important economic activities in the world.It refers generally to the cultivation of a variety of crops. About 70% of the working population of India are directly involved in agriculture.
