ABOUT GANGA

Ganga is the longest river in India. Ganga rises from the Himalayas in the Indian state of Uttarakhand and flows South and East trough the Gangetic plain of North India inot Bangladesh, where it empties into the Bay of Bengal. The Ganga also known as the Ganges, is the most sacred river to Hindus and millions of Indians depend on it for their daily needs. It is worshipped as the goddess of Ganga in Hinduism.
