what is federalism ?
Federalism is a system of government in which the power is divided between a central authority and various constituent units of the country. In India the Constitution divides all subjects under three types of constitutional lists. These are called (i) Union List (ii) State List and (iii ) Concurrent List  . Rest of the subjects are suppose to be called residuary powers.
