a child drops a ball from a height of 10 m . assume that its velocity increases uniformly at the rate of 10m per sec square (i) find the velocity with which the ball strikes the ground and the time taken by the ball to reach the ground .

According to laws of motion,
S= ut+ (1/2) at2
10=1/2*10*t2
ie, t =   ? 2 sec

Velocity,
 v= u+at
=0+10* ?2
 = 14.14 ms-1
