please explain the inertia of rest in the occasion that when we shake a mango tree,the mango fall down

The tendency of a body to resist acceleration; the tendency of a body at rest to remain at rest or of a body in straight line motion to stay in motion in a straight line unless acted on by an outside force.The falling of mango can be explained by inertia of rest in accordance with the Newton's first law.
When the branches of the mango tree are shaken, they come into motion. But the mango is initially at rest and when the branches are in motion, the mango retains the inertia of rest in it. So, it gets detached and falls down due to gravity.
