the polynomial p(x)=3x2-5x+k and q(x)=2x2-6x2+5k-3 when divided by x+2 leave the remainders r1 and r2 respectively.find the value of k if r1=r2
Since p(x) and q(x) leaves the same remainder when divided by x+2, say r1 and r2,
p(-2) = q(-2)
ie, r1 = r2
Find p(-2) by substituting -2 in place of x in p(x) and find q(-2)  by substituting -2 in place of x in q(x).
Then simplify, we get the answer.
