Two infinite plane sheet have equal and opposite charge densities of magnitude 5 micro C/m*m. find magnitude and direction of the electric field between the plates?
Electric field exists only between the plates and its magnitude is 
E=sigma/(2*permittivity) where sigma=charge density=5micro C/m*m and 
permittivity=8.854*10^(-12) F/m 
=8.854*10^(-12) C*C/Nm.
ie, E=5*10^(-6) / (2*8.854*10^(-12)) V/m
       =0.282*10^6 V/m.
