what is protoplasum?

Protoplasm is the complex jelly-like substance in which endless chemical activities takes place, that ensures the life of a cell.About 70-90% of the protoplasm is water, while the rest is made up of mineral salts, carbohydrates, fats and proteins and finally it consists of 3 parts: 1)nucleus 2)cytoplasm 3)cell membrane.
