what is matta krishi?
Matta Krishi means the cultivation of Kerala Matta rice, an indigenous variety of rice grown in Palakkad District of Kerala. It is also known as Rosematta rice, Palakkadan Matta rice, Kerala Red rice, or Red parboiled rice. It has been very popular from early days because of the richness of rice, its unique taste and use in preparations of rice-snacks.
