In conventional rainfall why torrential rain occur?
For convectional rainfall to occur the sun first heats the ground and then the warm air rises. As it rises, it cools and water vapour condenses to form clouds. As a result, heavy rainfall falls and it is sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms.
